1. We examine all entries made by the winner carefully...  If we find any evidence of "rigging" in any of the entries made by a winner, the winning entry will be cancelled and we will draw again to find a fair winner.  What constitutes "rigging?"  Simple -- anything that gives you an unfair advantage over others...

• Sending e-mail to anyone who is not a friend -- please, don't spam.  We contact the recipient of the winning e-mail entry to verify this.  If he or she is not a friend, you don't win.
• Sending e-mail to yourself, even if it's to a different e-mail address
• Sending more than one e-mail to the same friend, even if it's to two different e-mail addresses of that friend.
• Sending e-mail to more than 10 friends per drawing, even if you send from a different email address (yes, we can tell).
• Sending to fictitious accounts.
• Any strategy other than simply telling a friend about Building Characters -- after all, that what this is all about!

Here's the bottom line... This is a nice way to do a friend a favor.  If anyone corrupts the basic idea of doing a friend a favor to gain an unfair advantage, we'll catch it and eliminate the winning ticket -- then we'll do another drawing to find a fair winner.  So please stay in the spirit of things.  Thanks very much!

2. Quarterly drawing -- We hold the draw during the first month of each quarter (January, April, July, October).  Our computer selects the winner randomly.

The winner will be notified by e-mail after we review winning entries for fairness.  If the e-mail bounces or if a winner does not reply within 7 days of notification, that winner will be disqualified and a new drawing will be held to replace that person.  So please, double-check all e-mail addresses for typos.  If you make an error with yours, we won't be able to tell you that you've won!  If you make an error with your friend's address, we'll have to disqualify you (we'll draw again for a new winner).

3. Prizes --  This is a non-cash prize.  It may be transferred, but it may not be redeemed for cash.  Shirt designs available as prizes include the following:  Chinese Zodiac, Customer-Inspired, Horoscope, Popular Symbol, and Wedding.

4. Our e-mail privacy policy...

• Since you are a contestant, we will e-mail you to notify you regarding drawing results through our Drawing Winner Alert (sent 4 times a year)... we will use that address to send you those notices.
• We will not contact your friends.  Note: If you win, and only if you win, we will e-mail your friends to verify that they are really your friends.
• We keep all e-mail addresses in our database only to verify the validity of the winning entry.  We will never make any other use of this list.

5. Bad stuff -- There are some nasty people out there, so we record the IP address and time of each entry.  If you abuse this, we will send the IP address and time to your ISP.  If you send to anyone who is not a friend, that is spam ¡V we will report this to your ISP too.  If you are not a spammer or abuser, this rule has nothing to do with you.

6. Miscellaneous stuff -- Building Characters' employees and contractors are not eligible.  You must be 18 years or older.  You do not have to buy anything to enter.  This drawing is governed by the laws of the United States and the Commonwealth of Virginia.  All taxes or fees on winnings are the sole responsibility of the winner.
